What is the Order of the Eastern Star?
The Order of the Eastern Star is an international fraternal order comprised of both women and men with religious conviction and high spiritual and moral values. It's appeal rests in the beauty of character-building lessons that are sincerely portrayed in its ritualistic work.
It's structure consists of:
The Order of the Eastern Star is an international fraternal order comprised of both women and men with religious conviction and high spiritual and moral values. It's appeal rests in the beauty of character-building lessons that are sincerely portrayed in its ritualistic work.
It's structure consists of:
- Local or "subordinate" Chapters, which meet at least once a month
- State or "Grand" Chapter, which meets annually. Nebraska's meets during the month of May
- International or "General Grand" Chapter, which meets every three years during late October and early November

The Masonic Family is a group of organizations that share in teaching the principles which are embodied in Masonry. The groups listed here to demonstrate the wide range of groups and activities that are available and also to help the prospective members identify any family members who may qualify them for membership in the Order of the Eastern Star.
